This past year brought a lot of matching sets into my life. I love a matching set. Generally, it would be a skirt and blazer, but I've really grown to love this trouser and vest set. I mean, how adorable! It actually had a matching blazer as well, but I figured I would get more wear from the vest. This is also my first foray into a wide leg trouser. As you may or may not know, I don't tend to wear a lot of pants, but have been finding that I am reaching for them more and more and want to add them into my wardrobe.
When I feel bogged down with life and am not feeling particularly creative, I really lean on my matching sets to create outfits. There are so many options. You can wear the set together or separately. Mix it with other matching set items! The limit does not exist. I find styling the pants to be easier than the vest, but I'm feeling more and more comfortable styling the vest these days. I get caught up on the layering aspect and sometimes just the vest on top is a beautiful thing (that outfit might be a contender for London!).
This year I'm really trying to be more creative with my outfits and try different things. A matching set makes this feel a little more safe. I've already worn some of these in real life and can't wait to bring the rest into the real world and style more.
