What I Wore 12.14.24

I have realized that I've slightly over shot my holiday posts for Instagram - but that's a lovely problem to have. Normally, I'm scrambling for something to post! This means, however, that I don't have a big deep dive on these later outfits. A little sad, but that just leaves room for next year.

I've been into thrifting lately. I'm on a tight budget and can't spend as willy nilly as I would like. I also am still replacing items that I've grown out of. After not being able to button one dress closed and having one be extremely tight, I went in search of a new holiday dress. I found a Vinyard Vines strapless stress for $30. These would probably retail about $150-$200. It is so lovely. I wore it to work this week, but I think I might wear it (sans shirt) for New Years! We'll see. Using ThredUp and eBay has been a lot of fun and I'm finding unique pieces that I normally wouldn't. For a lot less.

I am so close to wearing all of my holiday pieces! I might have bought a few more at J. Crew Factory as well..., but I've been super intentional in my outfits. I love all my pieces, but I do have my favorites. And instead of wearing those over and over again, I have made myself create new outfits to go along with my tried and trues. After my outfits this weekend (I'm doing a little weekend getaway so I know what I'm wearing), I'll have one skirt, one sweater, one plaid top, and one flannel top that haven't made it into rotation. Hoping to slide those in next week. Now I just need to learn to do this with my regular wardrobe during regular months.

A couple of my J. Crew Factory finds. I have this top in just white as well and it's the perfect shape. I hope they create more color ways. I love this slip skirt. It's perfect for the holidays, but I'm excited to style it this coming winter. Shop the look here.

Ope, a new plaid pant has appeared! I used to have a pair of these, but grew out of them, so I'm thrilled I was able to do so (on the cheap). These are a 4 petite and my red ones are a 2 regular. Same shop, same style (I believe). Women's sizes are nonsense. Shop the look here.

The red tulle made an appearance! Honestly, I got rid of most of my tulle skirts, but kept this red and my green one. They're too perfect for holiday dressing, I just couldn't part with them. It's my little nod to Blair Eadie. Shop the look here.
