Remember those pumpkins we picked? We carved them! And then promptly wore them around Coxhall Gardens. The carving was an arduous task, but also super fun. We put on a Halloween movie and started cutting. I got pumpkin guts everywhere, to Oswin's delight. I will say, these might be my favorite faces. I've always wanted to do heart eyes and I love the winky eye with it. The smirk on Devin's pumpkin is just so cute!
We weren't the only ones taking photos here. You can see a couple behind us in the bench photo (their professional photographer is outside the frame). And as we were leaving we caught a groom waiting for the first look of his bride. We offered our pumpkin heads and they politely declined (personally, I would have been thrilled). If we had explored the rest of the gardens, we probably would have seen more photographers and their subjects. It was a beautiful day. Hopefully we gave them a real laughing photo.
I'm eternally grateful for a partner that goes along with all my silly photo ideas. And adds his own touch (if you haven't seen it, the video is hilarious). It also just so happens we've been dating/together/making out for a year now. I can't think of a better photoshoot to celebrate. I love you so much (just in case you read this).
If you have been thinking about wearing a pumpkin on your head, you should take this as your sign to do it.
