I think I only have a few pieces left that I haven't worn this Halloween season. While there are a few pieces that I've worn over and over again, I feel like I've done a really good job at making sure I make it to everything. This is not something I've really paid attention to in the past (until the last week and I panic wear things). It's been so great this year! I only bought two new items (a long sleeve and short sleeve sweater), so I didn't add a lot to what I have. I think I'd like to add a skirt, dress, and non-sweater top next year. Maybe a pair of trousers. It's good to keep things interesting!
I've really noticed the sun rising later and setting earlier this past week. As someone who gets up at 5 AM to workout, I've always gotten up before the sun, but now it's just barely creeping up by the time I leave for work. I don't necessarily mind the sun setting earlier and I really only notice because the sun shifted more south and is in my face more. I miss my early sunrises though! I know it's only temporary and I love the weather this season brings, but it is always a little sad. Definitely a bittersweet time of year.
I haven't been wearing my Target dresses lately and since was going to be a lazy Saturday, I put one on and popped a sweater over it. I swear these are the MVP's of every season. Shop the look here.
I barely got off the couch this day. I only got dressed enough to run one errand. These tees from Old Navy are so soft. I found some options on Poshmark. You should also get yourself a pair of jack-o-lantern slippers. Shop the look here.
This skirt is so cute! And I love that the jack-o-lanterns are pockets. Adorable and functional. The Unique Vintage model actually wore this top and skirt together and this is the first time I've paired them! It is very fun. But I am mostly loving orange and burgundy together. Might be a new favorite combo for fall. Shop the look here.
This is the first #halloweenstyle pieces I ever bought (from ModCloth). I will be wearing it until it falls apart. The dress even glows in the dark! It's just so cute and also a bit spooky. Unique Vintage has a similar option and other dresses that are perfect for the season. Shop the look here.
I wear a lot of the typical Halloween colors (orange and black) because that's what I prefer. However, I love the pastels and pinks and jewel tones that have become prominent lately. Just because it's Halloween doesn't mean you have to give up being girly! Shop the look here.
Unique Vintage is having a fabulous sale on their Halloween pieces! I actually snagged a few and I can't wait to wear them next year (I got a skirt, t-shirt, dress, and two small purses for $125). Everyone is touting the Christmas items that are coming out and I'm still over here buying up Halloween. Shop the look here.
Picking today's outfit was difficult. I had to finish packing for Chicago (stayed tuned!) and was just running around too much this morning. The first outfit I tried on was just too tight (hello, period) and nothing seemed to be working. I knew I wanted to wear pants though. I picked the sweater and then the pants. Added the top underneath for some layering. At first it felt off, but I've grown to really like it! I think some more hair accessories would make it more fun, but here we are. Shop the look here.
