Profession Girl Gang Takes King's Island

Spoilers! This post is long, but fabulous.

Thank you, Leanne Meurer for shooting and putting together this video! Definitely check out her Youtube channel here.

The ladies I've dubbed the "Professional Girl Gang" (with some honorary members) decided a King's Island trip was in order. We couldn't quite make opening weekend, but it was close enough. King's Island is my favorite theme park in the Midwest. It is not the biggest park, but it has everything I want and need.

The Beast is my favorite ride. The coaster was built in 1979 and is still the longest wooden roller coaster. Warning: It is a bit rough and slightly freaky in the dark. I love the mini Eiffel Tower which you can ride an elevator to the top to look out over the park. Other notable rides: The Vortex, Adventure Express, Banshee, The Viking Furry, and The Racer. Don't forget to stop by the kiddie land to get some delicious blue ice cream. It is possible to make it through the entire park in one day, but make sure to get there when it opens and don't leave until it closes! The crowds are much thinner during the week, so save any fast passes for the weekend.

Trying to decide what to wear to a theme park is always the hardest decision. I always know I'll be taking a lot of photos so I want to look put together, but I also want to be comfortable because roller coasters. This trip was a little different than most because it was in early May. The weather in Ohio is not quite warm yet not quite cold. I knew this chambray dress would be perfect because it was loose and breathable. I added a sweater and jacket to keep me warm, knowing if I became warm during the day I could always shed a layer. These TOMS shoes were perfect for walking around the park all day. Lela and I could not resist these adorable Target ball caps to keep the sun out of our eyes. Whatever you wear, I highly recommend wearing shoes that stay on your feet when they aren't touching the ground.

We cannot wait until our next trip! The Halloween Haunt is my absolute favorite; however, we are hoping to make it back before September/October.
