What I Wore 1.3.26

My outfits this week brought me so much joy! I especially adored the polka dot dress that I would normally only wear on summer evenings and green blazer. I wore two pieces twice which is kind of incredible because I have not worn them for months (the blue cardigan and grey skort)! I'm trying to be more thoughtful and whimsical in my outfits this year. Getting dressed should be fun and not anxiety inducing! This was one of my "ins" for the year: dopamine dressing. I miss having fun with my clothes. As I continue with my No Shop January and trying to shop less/thrift more this year, it's going to take a lot of creativity, inspiration, and positivity.

As an honorary member of the No Blue with Blue Jeans Club, I hereby swear that I'm leaving. It does feel slightly boring (sometimes), but I do like the look. It can really provide a clean base/outfit for a causal day that feels polished and put together without much thought. I think adding more surprising details in the accessories is a must. I have a real problem with "casual". I'm either in pajamas or (feeling like) I'm dressed up for an occasion. This year I want to lean into my casual wardrobe. Wearing more pants that are stretchy, soft, and tailored mostly. Shop the look here.

I just really pushed it this week! While I've gotten away from a lot of style/fashion "rules", the long white skirts have always been relegated to summer. No longer! While I'm not totally in love with this outfit, I really enjoyed this skirt with the chunky shoes and socks. Realizing I need some brown shoes. Shop the look here.

I wore this set on my London trip and thought it was high time I brought it back into rotation. I haven't worn the pieces separately yet, but I'm looking forward to styling them differently this year! Shop the look here

After saying I wanted to add more color into my wardrobe, I wore this. But I love how the silver shoes with the black tights and the blue and white striped shirt peeking out are fun additions that keep this look from being too boring. Shop the look here.

This outfit was perfect. Nearly perfect. The inspiration photo had a high collar jacket (which I think does look better), but this is something I wouldn't have put together. Especially this time of year. Just such a fun outfit to wear on a random work day. Shop the look here

I don't really do casual Fridays, but I think it's funny that I decided to wear both of the pieces I had already worn this week in one outfit. I guess I'm just really feeling the grey right now! Shop the look here
