I feel like I really tried this week. I tried to add color and patterns and texture into my outfits. I tried to wear things I haven't worn since last Spring/Summer. I just tried. And it worked! I really loved my outfits this week. Did that stop me from buying more clothes? No, it did not. However, I am about to do a big closet clean out and I think these pieces will fit in quite nicely, she says as her wallet scolds her.
I find so much joy in wearing color and prints, it makes me wonder how I've been wearing so many neutrals lately. Don't get me wrong, I love a good neutral outfit. Browns and blacks and creams can be so good. There is a time and place. But I'm ready to get back into fun clothes! I want to mix prints and colors that don't make sense on paper, but look fabulous in real life. I want to inspire others to wear their favorite pieces even though they think it's too loud. I want to have fun with my clothing and not worry if it's "flattering". A journey, for sure.
Another two outfits for Saturday! Continuing the birthday celebrations. We went to brunch and to an antique mall during the day and a fancier dinner in the evening. I wish it had been a little warmer, but it was perfect.
I spent all of Sunday being a Victorian ghost, haunting my apartment. It was drizzling all day and a bit chilly. After having a packed Friday and Saturday, I just wanted to chill on my actual birthday. And that I did. I love this nightgown for just laying about. Throw a jacket or sweater over it if you need to leave the house (it is a little sheer).
I really need to go through my closet. I have no idea what to wear. I still love these pants, but I feel like a completely neutral look is too fall/winter. I'm ready for color, but I don't have what I actually want to wear in my closet... hmm. Shop the look here.

I finally switched over the clothing on the rack that is behind me. That rack is my only seasonal switch over - I keep everything out in my closet. I swear I don't have that many clothes. I was thinking how much I loved wearing the brown corset top over my white button up with the plaid skirt, but it's a bit too fall. Then I remembered I have this white corset top.
