What I Wore 4.26.25

I tried a little harder this week. I pieced together outfits that I thought were fun and a little more on the Spring-y side of things. I mostly succeeded! As per usual, I'm realizing that my tops just really don't go with my bottoms. And I'm also not entirely sure how to fix it. I want to wear more colors and patterns. I also really love a simple white top. I can do both, I know. I just feel like I'm caught between something and I'm not sure how to get out.

I did start watching Wear Whatever the F You Want on Amazon this week. It's been rather inspiring. Watching people try on their highest fashion desire and then coming back to tone it down for real life is amazing. I think doing something like this would really help me. Alas, I have to work with what I have. I think going back to my three words and looking at what I want my style to be is the first step. Then go through my closet and see what fits (literally and figuratively). A process for sure, but one that is necessary.

It's now the beginning of May! Happy birthday to all my May babies! The weather will finally even out and the world will turn more green and colorful.

I didn't get a full view of this outfit, but I wore it last week (minus a few items). Another longer dress for my flight! I am telling you, it's the perfect way to fly. I was heading straight to lunch after this flight, so it was easy and cute for more bopping.

Sometimes I think my mind is crazy, because this is a very simple outfit. More simple, I would say, than the one I wasn't super fond of last week. But I love it?! Following Allison Bornstein's three letter word salad,  I would say it has something to do with that. I never finished updating my three words, but they're classic, romantic, and whimsical. While the other outfit had classic pieces, it was definitely missing romance and whimsy. This outfit feels very romantic and classic. Maybe the earrings and red lip give it a touch of whimsy. Note to self: pay attention to your three words. Shop the look here.

I was going to wear the matching jacket with this skort, but I wanted something with a little more texture. I love how this turned out. I would never wear navy with this normally, but I really like how it pops! I did find a very similar pink set on Amazon, but all of these pieces are pretty old. Shop the look here.

I haven't worn this jumpsuit in quite awhile. I find that I don't reach for jumpsuits often because of the whole naked in the bathroom situation. But I do love them. I found a few sizes on eBay too! It's super cute and the wider leg makes it so comfortable. Shop the look here.

Polka dots on polka dots. I was considering this outfit a couple of weeks ago, but it hadn't felt right. I suppose this day was the day! I was originally going to wear red shoes, but I really like the simplicity of the silver heels. Working on mixing and matching prints again. Shop the look here.

I had two looks for Friday! The first dress was just to wear while running errands throughout the day. I took the day off to do random birthday things. I went grocery shopping and picked up my cake and balloons. Had a lunch with a few friends. Moved my pants out to the patio. And then chilled before dinner with my May birthday bestie. You can find a similar floral dress here.
