It's officially tights weather. I am equally bummed and happy about this. The first day I wore tights, it snowed and it was just beautiful! But now, it's just cold and there is no snow. Despite the chill, I am quite thrilled with this week's outfits. I have been really trying to style my outfits a bit more and I feel like it's making a difference. I am feeling a lot more me, in a sense. Thank you to my ever growing Pinterest boards for showing me different ways to wear my clothes. My favorites were Monday's and Friday's looks. The layers.
I am trying really hard to not shop for myself (hello gift giving season!). This is difficult because 1. trying times 2. I have little self control and 3. I'm still replacing some items. I have done fairly well for myself, but I did a little damage this week. I bought new underwear and (gasp) bras. It's been awhile, y'all. Most of you know I am mainly braless, but in the fall and winter, when clothes fit a little more loose, I do wear a bra or tank underneath. The bras I had really didn't fit well (hello bigger boobs). I was looking to do an overhaul basically. Lately (meaning years - whoops), I've been getting my undergarments from Aerie with a dabble in Victoria's Secret. I need high waisted undies, quite frankly. You can shop what I bought here. It is safe to say that this was much needed and I'm going to throw out a lot of underwear.
It's possible I broke down and bought some clothing items as well. BUT (cue justification excuses). I shopped ThredUp. I spent $100 on three skirts, four tops, and one dress. This included items from Banana Republic, J. Crew, and Talbots (among others). One Talbots skirt would have been around $100. I am trying to be more thoughtful about what I buy and more sustainable. Thrifting is the best way to do this. I am going to challenge myself to use ThredUp, Poshmark, and eBay when I want to buy something instead of buying something new. I can probably find it cheaper and higher quality anyway by thrifting.
