After the holidays, I think it's nice to do a no shop month. I haven't done one in quite some time and I'm looking forward to it. I've recently been shopping SO much between the holidays and getting The Apothecary set up. I use shopping as a way to make me feel a bit happier as well, so I would also like to break that habit. It's just so easy to fall into the rabbit hole of buying buying buying!
When I say "no shopping", it mainly means clothing, books, housewares. Things I don't need. If I run out, I'll still be buying skincare or makeup (just nothing extra). I'll also be able to buy gifts for people if it calls for it. I'm also going to try to go out less and eat more at home.
I want to get out of the habit of using Amazon as my own personal shopping center for everything. I want to start shopping smarter and shopping less in general. I want to save money and plan ahead. I want to enjoy the things I already own without waiting for the next thing. I also want to shop secondhand more and I'm hoping that getting out of the habit of buying things right when I think about them will help.
If everything goes well - and I don't need anything, I might continue this into February! I have plenty of books in the TBR pile and won't need to reevaluate my wardrobe until March. Wish me luck!
