Orange You Glad It's Autumn?

Note: I completely failed at posting this outfit BEFORE Halloween. It's still a great fall outfit, but the graveyard on the collar may not work...

It always feels as if Indiana's fall season becomes shorter and shorter each year. It takes forever for the leaves to change and when they eventually decide to grace us with some color the leaves immediately fall to the ground. Luckily I live in the suburbs and don't have to look too hard for some color. The light coming through the trees added a hint of magic to the air - as if anything was possible.

I love adding some Halloween spice to my fall outfits. Now that October is over I will miss adding the spooky touches. It's the adding of slight quirks to essentially classic outfits that thrill me. The over-sized sweater and houndstooth skirt will be perfect for the rest of the season! Do I basically look like I belong in the trees? I actually bought this sweater for my Velma Dinkley costume last year and it's one of my favorites to wear. I own a few houndstooth skirts, but couldn't resist adding this one to my collection. The colors weaved throughout are spectacular! It's still warm enough for bare legs in Indiana. I'm trying to hold out for as long as possible. I expect by mid-November I'll be wearing tights consistently.

And yes, I did receive a few quizzical glances from actual trail walkers.

Sweater: H&M (similar here and here), Skirt: Modcloth, Shirt: Modcloth, Shoes: Loft (similar here), Bracelet: Tiffany's
