For those lazy, lounging days pop on a sweater. I like a lot of color, so I pulled a lighter blue from the sweater to enhance. If you prefer a more subtle look, try a darker layer or pant.

Maybe you are meeting the girls for brunch and you don't want to be overdressed, but you don't want to wear pants. A long sleeve shirt underneath a tank dress (or any dress) adds layers for warmth and is a great update for a tired wardrobe. Just keep piling on the layers to showcase your favorite floral prints, whether you choose a long sleeve shirt, sweater, cardigan, or blazer.

Add colors in the same temperature as your floral print to amp it up. The navy and purple I added really brings out the colors in the dress without making it look summery.

Want to wear your favorite florals to work? Zip on a pencil skirt and add a chunky knit to winterize the floral print. Wearing an oversized sweater with your florals makes for a cozy outfit that won't make you feel glum.

How do you like to wear your favorite floral print in the winter? I would love to see your ideas! These tips are not only good for floral prints, but also any favorite summer item. Have a strappy dress you just really want to wear? Add the layers! There should be no reason we can't wear something just because it was "meant" for a particular season.
