Honestly, this was a banger week of outfits. All outfits were newly styled and I got to wear some of my favorite pieces. Layers reigned supreme. It is winter after all. Since my international trips last year, I haven't had this much fun putting outfits together. It's really quite amazing what shopping your closet will do for you when you're "banned" from buying new items. Pinterest has also been a big help in how I style things. I may not have the exact pieces, but I can create a look using the template. I don't want to copy exactly anyway!
From what I've been pinning and the outfits I am putting together, I realize I am in need of more prints. Prints and color. More fun shapes. I always assumed having more neutrals and solids would help me create more outfits (and that might be a little true), but I'm realizing I'm craving more fun and CPTS (color, pattern, texture, shine). Does that mean having more clothes than I really want? Maybe, but I guess I don't really know. I am excited to find out.
Still working on my casual looks. I also don't really know what that means. I've always been the type of person to wear what I wear to work just out and about in my off hours. I've been fairly lucky to not have a true dress code for work in a very long time. Shop the look here.
I've been getting into the habit of wearing pajamas all day on Sundays. Especially in January, it's just so easy to not put on real clothes. I try to style them at least a little bit with an accessory and sweater. Shop the look here.
I am really feeling the white skirts and dresses this month! Normally I stay away from those this time of year. It kind of adds a unique twist since not a lot of people are wearing something like this yet. I just love how simple, but elevated this looks. Shop the look here.
As promised, I'm leaning into my trousers more and more. It's helpful when it's so cold, but also, I love a menswear inspired look that has feminine touches. Shop the look here.
I've worn this similarly before, but I realized I don't always need my collar to be showing. This helped free a lot of brain space when creating outfits, honestly. I would love to add more leopard print into my wardrobe. And this green color. Shop the look here.
Everyone was throwing it back to 2016 and I couldn't help myself! I used an outfit from 2016 as inspiration for this look. Even though I don't have the exact pieces anymore, I'm glad my style has stayed enough the same that it was easy to pull this out. Shop the look here.
I adore this skirt. A fabulous The RealReal find. I'm playing around with tops. I've only worn sweaters with it, so thinking I might need to try some different combos. It's just really fun pulling out the different colors from the floral print. Shop the look here.
