As per usual, I took the week of Halloween off and this might have been one of my best Halloween weeks. Starting off in Chicago the weekend before and leading up to actual Halloween day was so full of fun and spookies. It's been a very long time that I have filled up my time so well and celebrated so much.
The actual day, I had a hair trim during the day and just kind of loafed on the couch while watching my favorite movies. It was a bit more chilly and rainy. Honestly, the perfect staying in Halloween day. I am glad the rain cleared up later though as we had dinner plans. Our last costume (Holly Golightly and Paul Varjak, V-A-R-J-A-K from Breakfast at Tiffany's) just got smooshed to this little photoshoot. I was fine with that as I wanted to squeeze in one more spooky outfit anyway. We had dinner at Geraldine's in Fountain Square. I would recommend, but I would stay away from the lobster mac (total let down). The steaks were delicious and the truffle fries were amazing. Expect to drop some money.
I tried really hard to completely use up my disposable cameras this week. I succeeded in finishing up one camera (I have had it for so long that I don't know what's on it) and I only have about 6 photos left on another. I always feel like it's harder to ask people to do that, especially because people want the same photo on their phone. I get it, but I try to not take the same photos on every medium. It takes the fun out of it! I am really excited to see what we get when I do finally drop the last one off at the store.
All in all, it was a chill night full of good people, booze, and food. And yes, I am already thinking about next year's costumes.
