I am switching things up a bit. I'm starting the week on Saturday (since I post these on Saturdays) and adding in my weekend outfits! Sometimes I wear multiple outfits or not actual outfits on the weekends, which is why I really haven't added them. But I want to make sure I am as transparent and real as possible. So, here we are! You'll see my outfits Saturday - Friday. There might be a Friday night outfit randomly thrown in if I have Friday night plans. I'm playing around with it.
It's the first cold/chilly week and I am here for it. The weekend was pretty mild, but Monday - Friday the high was in the 50's and 60's. The perfect fall temperatures. Then we'll be back into the 70's. Honestly, if temperatures just stayed between 50 and 75 degrees... I would be a very happy girl.
I'm not sure what it is exactly, maybe because I'm wearing my favorite Halloween pieces after a year of being tucked away, but I feel like I'm really settling into my style. I just feel really good in my clothes.
A simple Saturday outfit for loafing. This is a take on what I wore when I picked up my keys to The Apothecary. You know I love a transformation photoset and this is one of my favorites to do. I can't believe this will be my third year here. Shop the look here.
My Covered Bridge Festival look. This event is probably one of the most difficult to dress for. The weather is always up in the air. I want to wear my Halloween items, but look adorably fall. We arrive just as the sun is rising and leave late afternoon. There is a lot of walking. My outfit needs to be simple, comfortable, and include layers. I typically wear some kind of boot and my Croc Chelsea boots did the trick. The only problem I had with these is my socks refused to stay up. My favorite skort was the best decision (it wasn't that cold, so bare legs were doable). I wore a tank top under the sweater in case I got really warm. I also had a quilted jacket that wore during the first part of the day. Shop the look here.
I love how this outfit turned out. It's so simple, but so chic and looks so effortless (reader, it was not effortless). This was the first actual cold/chilly day and I thought trousers were the best option. With this web sweater... chef's kiss. I'm really trying to work more pants into my wardrobe, but also different styles (not just skinny legs). I am loving these wide leg trousers (I have in a plaid as well). Shop the look here.
An oldie, but a goodie. I wear some version of this outfit every year and it's a knockout every time. Cozy and Halloween-y? Yes, please! I wish I could find something more similar to this skirt, but Poshmark seems to have some options (it's old ModCloth). Shop the look here.
My Timehop let me know I wore this outfit (mostly) the same day last year. That tracks. I like what I like. This is one of my favorite sweaters from ModCloth (still available!). I had to replace my brown pleated skirt (RIP), but this one is so much more comfortable (it's a skort). Shop the look here.
Another pair of trousers. Everyone is always so shocked... which I guess makes sense as I don't wear pants often. I like trousers, I just tend to not wear jeans often. It's also getting colder and I'm not ready to pull the tights out just yet. This is the same style as the plum ones above. Love how they look and they are so comfortable. I am going to try to wear socks with my pants and heels this fall/winter. It adds a fun touch to a look and also will help keep me warm! Shop the look here.
It's difficult remembering a time when I didn't have these American Eagle skorts. They are just so comfy and look good with everything! I really wish I could find better dupes of the ModCloth sheer button ups I have. They are so good. Bring them back! Shop the look here.
