This has become my new favorite Halloween tradition. Carving a pumpkin to wear on my head for a photoshoot. This year was a lot of fun. I had company while at the orchard (Tuttle Orchards) while I found the perfect pumpkin and the day I carved it. We even roasted the pumpkin seeds as I gutted and carved!
I will say though, this might be slightly less than perfect because of the size. Just a tad too large really. It did make it easier to carve the head hole - I only had to do it once to fit it over my head. I'm a really terrible carver, but I think that makes it more fun for me. I'm not trying to win any contests, I'm just trying to have a good time.
I knew I wanted to take some photos around The Apothecary. I don't know, I just thought it was hilarious... this pumpkin head just sitting around doing normal-ish things. I love the skeleton rib cage dress (find it here) mixed with the pumpkin head, normally I keep everything pumpkin themed. However, I had to add these Target slippers into the mix. I've never had open toed slippers before and honestly it's a game changer.
I hope you enjoy looking at these as much as I enjoyed shooting them.
