I am so close to meeting my reading goal for the year! I'm currently at 48 of 62 books. This reading year has felt very low stress for me, which is fabulous. I don't like feeling I need to be reading quickly or always be reading. I love picking up a book when I have a moment or the time or just really want to sit and read. Listening to audiobooks while I'm walking Oswin has really helped too. I feel like I'm able to get through a lot more different genres when I'm turning an actual page and listening to an audio. It's so lovely!
I started my annual Harry Potter re-read at the end of July (technically August). I'm honestly surprised I made it through four of those in August. I just love the story too much, I guess! It's been the most fun re-reading this year. I even had a thought about Kreacher I hadn't considered before (I'm currently on book five)! It's so fun finding snippets you've either forgotten about or hadn't actually paid attention to during other reads.
As we get into the -ber months, I know I'll be reading even more - it's too cozy to not cuddle up with a good book. Will I surpass this year's reading goal?
Taste: My Life Through Food by Stanley Tucci ⭐⭐⭐⭐
This was a fun listen! I love Stanley Tucci and I love food, so it was a good time. I'm not a big in the kitchen person, but it's cool to hear stories of families who connect through recipes and food and how that has helped make someone who they are. It's also really fun to hear about celebrity's home lives and learn a little more about them. Again, I feel like I need to purchase the hard copy because he actually has recipes in here and they sound amazing!

Love, Pamela by Pamela Anderson ⭐⭐⭐⭐
I truly enjoying hearing the other side of the story for a public figure. Meaning their side. I've always taken things published about celebrities with a grain of salt - always exaggerating stories - but it's been a comfort (?) to listen to their side. Pamela Anderson's was definitely one of those. I had no idea the things she went through, what kind of mother she is, and what she enjoys from life. And it's none of my business anyway, but it was endearing to hear.
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by J.K. Rowling ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The Funny Thing About Healing & Self-Love by Robert M. Drake ⭐⭐⭐⭐
I love a good poetry book and I love R.M. Drake's words. This was a collection of his favorite pieces from multiple books, so it was a lot longer than usual, but it's fun to have the favorites in one place. Did I cry? Maybe.
