I decided to only wear longer dresses this week. I am not entirely sure why, it just seemed like fun and it would get me to wear pieces I haven't worn yet. I used to be so sure I couldn't wear anything that fell past my knees, as a petite person. The longer the hemline, the shorter I felt. Honestly, that is the furthest thing from the truth. There are certain hemlines that cut off my legs, however, it's usually where the waist falls, not where it falls on my legs. A higher waist with a longer hem creates a much leaner silhouette for me. Of course, wearing a mini skirt also makes my legs look long, but I'm having a midi/maxi moment. Now, most of these are longer on me than they should be (I never had any of these taken up), but I still love them. You can actually wear whatever you want - there are no rules (except never trust a man who wears a white belt). P.S. This felt like such a lazy dressing week and it was kind of amazing. Dresses are the absolute best.
