What I Wore: AIM Conference, Huntington Beach

This year's AIM Conference was amazing! We did things a little differently this year (hot tub every evening) and really made the most of the trip. The extra two nights were the perfect touch. To have a full extra day of not work was just so wonderful.

It is officially official, I still cannot gauge Huntington Beach weather. I really thought 65°F - 68°F was warm. And, okay, it was, however I was freezing most of the time. Unless I was in direct sunlight, it felt incredibly chilly. Also, eating outside in Indy when it's in the 60's... never. In California? Sure, why not?! One day, I'll dress properly. For now, please enjoy these super cute outfits in which I was mostly shivering.

Day 1: I travelled in the first outfit and wore it for lunch and a yacht cruise when we landed. This was probably the most properly dressed I was the entire trip. Note to self: bring more layers. The second outfit was for a cocktail meet and greet event with everyone.

Top: Mango (similar here), Skirt: Amazon, Shoes: J. Crew Factory (similar here and here and here)

Day 2: This was the first day of classes. I try to go for both comfort and style for these. It's a lot of sitting and wandering around. Later that evening, I changed into the second outfit for more cocktail events and dinners.

Top: La Redoute, Skirt: Abercrombie (similar here), Shoes: Amazon

Dress: Nordstrom Rack, Shoes: ASOS, Bag: Unique Vintage

Day 3: Another day of classes and cocktail parties/dinners! Glad I wore sleeves during the day, but it was cloudy basically all day which made it feel even more chilly. For my evening outfit, I was still happy about the sleeves and I made good decisions and brought a cardigan with me. We actually ate outside for dinner this day and it was great, but cold. Thank goodness for heaters.

Top: La Redoute, Skirt: Abercrombie, Shoes: Amazon

Dress: Apricot Lane, Shoes: ASOS

Day 4: This was the last day of the conference. We had some morning meetings and then made our way to the hot tubs to chill. We spent a few hours just relaxing in the sunshine and then went to our birthday dinner at the Rusty Pelican (our birthdays were the week before). I have been waiting to wear that green dress and it's just so beautiful. The photos really don't do it justice.

Top: Amazon, Skirt: Cider, Shoes: Amazon

Bikini: Aerie

Dress: WAYF via Saks, Shoes: ASOS, Bag: Unique Vintage

Day 5: This was our full day to ourselves. We went to the spa during the morning hours and it was amazing. We had an hour massage followed by a coconut milk bath soak. The spa at the Hyatt in Huntington Beach is just so beautiful and has a lot to offer. If you're out that way, I highly recommend. We went to lunch and then I explored the beach for a bit and just wandered around. Before dinner, we were able to catch the sunset at the pier. We also visited a speak easy (phones were not allowed) and it was the coolest.

Sweater: Loft, Top: Amazon, Skirt: Abercrombie, Scarf: Maison Miette

Dress: Amazon (similar here), Cardigan: Target, Shoes: J. Crew Factory (similar here)

Day 6: Before going to the airport, we wandered along the beach for a few hours looking for shells and just enjoying being near the ocean.
