Meet Oswin

Say hello to my newest little friend, Oswin! I recently adopted him and so far it's going well. I knew I wanted to adopt a dog, but was unsure of the timing. Oswin kind of fell into my lap and I had to have him.

The name "Oswin" comes from Doctor Who. Clara Oswald is my favorite companion and her first incarnation was Oswin Oswald. I had two other names picked out, but I wanted to see what fit before I made a decision. Actually, one of the other names I was feeling incredibly strongly about, but once I sat with him for a little, I knew it was going to be Oswin.

We think he's somewhere between 1 and 2 years old, so very young still. He is house trained which is lovely, but he hasn't been fixed yet. I'm working on that. He can already sit and shake. We are working on laying down and staying. He has absolutely no recall, so that will be a big thing to come. As I plan to travel with him and basically take him everywhere possible, I need him in tip top training shape.

So far, he seems pretty chill, but he's definitely coming into his own a little more each day. He's curious and playful, but also just wants to lay down (me too, bud). He loves a long walk (which is great for me!). He doesn't seem to be too interested in toys, but enjoys a game of tug-o-war. I'm excited to see how his little personality comes to life!

My camera roll is honestly just filled with photos of him and I am not mad about it. He is so photogenic, but tends to shy away from the lens. But how can I not photograph those ears?! In trying to not make him my entire personality, I did create an Instagram page for him. You can follow along here
