Little Black Work Dress

Finally, I found the perfect black dress for work. Years. I have been searching for years. Apparently, I've just been searching in the wrong places. The only plain black dress I have had (for the longest time) is a faux leather one that is very similar to this one. I hardly wore it. I found this French Connection dress on sale on the Bloomingdale's website. I don't remember how I came across it - maybe an ad or I was just randomly searching. I ended up buying two different sizes to ensure I got the correct one. My sizing has gone through some changes and I don't quite know how things will fit me now. If you have the ability and the return policy is good, I highly recommend doing this if you're unsure of a fit.

As I've mentioned, I want to be more intentional with the pieces I add to my wardrobe. For too long I've been buying cheap items because they were inexpensive (and got here quickly). I've come to realize, with a little bit of patience and luck, I can still buy inexpensively and the items are more high quality. It honestly makes the biggest difference.

This dress is sold out on the Bloomindale's website, but I do think you could still find it somewhere else! I might have found one on the Nordstrom website too. I think that is one of the drawbacks to buying sales items - they'll sell out quickly! If you take your time and comb through the sale and clearance spaces on websites (set your parameters to make it easier - mine is usually under $50 and my size), you'll find absolute treasures. This might be more difficult if you're looking for something specific - I recommend just going in and seeing what they have to offer!
