Plaid All About It

You can never have enough plaid - said me all the time. I shot a few outfits prior to Christmas and just didn't have the time to post them before the 25th. So, I'm going to post them now (and later)! You'll see quite a bit of plaid and some holiday sweaters, but just think of it as extending the festive-ness. It's just good ol' wintry vibes.

As soon as I spotted this plaid coat, I knew I had to have it. Typically, my coats (and everything else) stay on the neutral side. I have always wanted to branch out, but could never click the "buy now" button. This American Eagle coat was too great of a deal to pass up. It's currently just under $150, but AE has some codes you can use. I love that it has a hood (the faux fur is removable too!) and it isn't enormous. It fits rather perfectly.

I had been on the hunt for new black heels. I tend to wear my black shoes until they fall apart and then I'm left to pick up the pieces and find a new pair. It's always impossible for the longest time! I randomly searched through 6PMShoes and found two pairs I love. This velvet scallop trimmed pair is one of them! I love how festive these are without being over the top - meaning I can just wear them all winter long. I will forever wear a block heel (I actually just donated a lot of my stiletto heels).

Plaid is such a December staple. I love this outfit because of how simple it is, but it makes such an impact. The green blazer just pops with the white sweater. Wearing blazers in the winter is the best. It adds an extra layer to keep out the cold - and depending on the temperature and thickness of the blazer it may be the only top layer you need. This look is festive, but only because it's December. I can continue to wear this outfit or others like it in January and February. Plaid is forever.
