When I bought the Ellie dress, I also bought this dress: the Hanna. Obviously, I needed this dress. It's perfect and meant for me! The color, the tie bow, the pleats, the pockets - it was meant to be. I was a little more nervous for this dress than Ellie, but only because it had more coverage.
Being petite, something more voluminous as a dress like this could be weird. Honestly, it took me forever to figure out my hair - do I wear it up or down? And had I had more time, I would have gone with something different still. Unfortunately, at this time, I haven't been in for a bang trim, so bangs are a bit odd at the moment. The sleeves, again, posed another almost problem. They were just way more puffy than I had thought they would be. It worked out, but I was more aware of them than I would like. Other than being a little warm, though, this was the most comfortable dress ever! If I were so inclined, I could lay on the couch in this dress and take a very nice nap.
I wore the Hanna dress to our annual Summer Shining Star Awards. While being a little more dressed up than the dress code (summer business casual), it was the perfect occasion to debut. When it gets a little cooler or maybe for a night out, I really want to through my faux leather moto jacket over it. I think the mixture of tough and girly will be perfect. I definitely want to try wearing this in a more casual setting and possibly with an updo.
