I popped over to Broad Ripple area to visit my friend, Charlotte, last weekend. I'm really only familiar with the main drag, but I am loving what's off the path! We had a late lunch at La Piedad, an adorable Mexican restaurant off Coil St. In view from the patio seating area is the Monon Trail and what looks like a locomotor cabin. I believe a realty company owns it, but they have it set up as a little seating area! It was the neatest thing. We didn't end up going in, but this little coffee shop, Perk Up, seems to be the perfect place to get your morning coffee. I can't wait to explore this area!
