Monday Musings

Ladies and gentlemen, Lela is coming to Indy! Actually, she has been in Florida for a couple of weeks now, but she will be joining me in Indiana on April 27th. I am over the moon excited. The last time we saw each other was during October for my wedding. It was a fabulous visit, but obviously a bit drowned out by my pending nuptials. With no weddings in our way, we will be able to really focus on creating memories.

Check back on here and on our Instagram pages (me and Lela) for our wanderings! Check out Lela's blog here for beautiful style, travel, and food reviews.

Everyone knows I adore pineapple print, but how cute is this banana print skirt? It's only $11 at Shein.com! It would make the perfect summer statement piece. I may have to think about adding this to my wardrobe. They also have other great banana pieces in stock.

Doug and I just planted some bushes and flowers around our backyard patio this weekend. I am so happy things are finally starting to come together. Now we just need chairs and a table so we can sit out there and enjoy the new plants. We went to Home Depot to gather what we needed and I found these adorable pineapple solar lights! Aren't they the cutest?! I just think they are the perfect touch for Camp Pineapple's patio.

I adore Anne Hathway and think she's a fabulous actress. Her singing chops are rather impressive as well. I do think Anne does well in serious roles, but I truly love her as a comedienne. This little spot with James Corden about the premises of a romantic comedy is hilarious and quite truthful with all my favorite songs involved. Give it a watch!

I have been in a reading rut lately and there is really only one tried and true way I know to dig myself out: read small, exciting books. I have only read a couple of the Doctor Who books, but enjoyed them immensely. I ordered a couple of off Amazon (Deep Time, The Crawling Terror, and I Am A Dalek) to try to jump start my reading. It worked fantastically. I even ordered two more books (Silhouette and Shroud of Sorrow) because I'm having so much fun reading these. If you're a fan of the Doctor Who series - definitely get into the books.
