I finally made it to the Cake Bake Shop. My friend, Carol, and I had brunch at the Northside Kitchenette (which is adorable and delicious). Since the Cake Bake Shop was literally around the corner, we decided to grab some dessert. The shop was still decorated for Christmas, but if they kept the decorations up year round I wouldn't be mad. It is small, but it just makes it feel even more cozy. There is even a back room for larger parties. I tried the Sipping Chocolate - a teensy drink that is very delicious, but very rich. I couldn't even finish that tiny cup. I nabbed a red velvet and carrot cake. The slices are quite generous, so it is definitely something you'll take home to snack on. The best part about their treats? A little bit of sparkle is added to each cake making them shimmer even in the worst light.
