Honeymoon: Carnival Conquest Cruise
Doug and I have never been on a cruise before. Honestly, we could not have asked for a better first time. The weather was perfect except for one rainy day. The ship was beautiful. We made some great dinner friends. It was so much fun.
We stopped at St. Maarten, St. Kitts, Puerto Rico, and Grand Turk. My favorite excursion was on St. Kitts. We swam with dolphins! It was amazing and beautiful. My favorite island, though, was Grand Turk. The beaches and the water were fantastic. We snorkeled and wandered around one of the tinier islands.
If you're on the fence about a cruise, I say go for it! Carnival was pretty great. Shout out to Larry - he's the best bartender. We are wanting to do a southern Caribbean and Alaskan cruise next.
Mini Keurig
I do not like coffee. But I love a hot chocolate. I have always wanted a Keurig at home (because I'm lazy), but could never justify buying one. While making my registry, I noticed this mini Keurig on Target's website and thought it was perfect. I have already made countless hot chocolates and I can't wait to try my teas. I am interested in making iced drinks - but that can wait! What are your favorite non-coffee Keurig drinks?
Christmas Music
Now that it's officially after Thanksgiving, I can give my attention to Christmas! The decorations are up (I still need to do the outside) and I am excited for a month of Christmas music. If you're in the Indy area, definitely give 105.7 a listen. The station plays Christmas music 24/7 through Christmas! I adore Christmas music, but only after Thanksgiving - otherwise it becomes too overplayed. I am so ready for the holiday season spirit!
Easy Appetizers
Since I am officially an adult (it's been 9 years really) I feel as if I should be bringing dishes to family gatherings. I love the idea of doing this, but the execution always eludes me. This list of easy appetizer dishes from HouseBeautiful is perfect. Minimal effort, maximum effect. I just love the cheese platter shaped like a tree! It's all in the details.
Beauty and the Beast Trailer
Beauty and the Beast is definitely in my top five Disney movies. I always thought I was like Belle (hello books). When the announcement came they were doing a live action version starring Emma Watson, I probably screamed my excitement. The random photographs from the set and the teaser trailer were killing me with the small details. But finally, a real, longer trailer has been released. Watch here and fall in love again.
