On My Mind: Wedding Week

Lela London is in town.

I should really title this post "Lela London Week". I am not going to apologize, but she is in town for one week and I am going to make the most of it. Her plane landed Friday evening and we have been on the go ever since. From getting songs nailed down for the wedding to going to my cousin's birthday party, we have had the best time. Lela even had her first Zumba experience and she rocked it. I'm so happy to have her here and I am not going to waste one minute (or photo opportunity).

Bachelorette

This past Saturday I had my (low key) bachelorette party. I am closer to thirty than twenty and all I want to do is watch Netflix and read. I compromised and we decided to do a wine tour through downtown Indy and ending with a lovely dinner at Mesh. Even though we only made it to two places before dinner (Black Market and Tastings), it was a blast. I have a close group of friends and it was just perfect. I really have the best lady crew

Apple and Pumpkin Picking

This fall season has just flown by and I feel like it's about to come to an end. While I have been to an apple orchard (multiple times), I haven't actually picked any apples or pumpkins. I am planning to carve some jack-o-lanterns for the wedding and Lela mentioned she had NEVER been to an orchard. I knew this was one activity we HAD to do. We had a ton of fun picking the apples and taking too many photos (blog soon to come). We didn't have time to pick our pumpkins from the patch, but they had some really lovely ones up front. If you're in the area, head to Pleasant View Orchards - there are still plenty of apples in the trees!

Wedding Week

I am getting married this Saturday. It all feels a bit surreal. Doug and I have been together for nearly eleven years now. I honestly cannot wait. The decor, clothing, and food are perfect and it's going to be so fun. I love getting together with family and friends to celebrate. There are still a few things left to do, but nothing to stress over. Someone mentioned I was the calmest bride they have ever seen. How am I doing it? Well, I have a great wedding planner and I have just decided not to stress. What will happen will happen and I'll just roll with the punches. Live in Indiana or getting married in Indiana? You must check out the Righteous Oaks Historic Ballroom. It's adorable and affordable

Harry Potter Makeup Brushes

I'm not that into makeup, but I am that into Harry Potter. I don't know if I can justify paying $55 for a set of makeup brushes, but these are fantastic. The set of five includes the wands of Harry, Hermione, Ron, Dumbledore, and Voldemort. You can preorder now and they are expected to ship December 10th. Are you going to pick up a set? Bravo Storybook Cosmetics.
