Besides cozy sweaters and hot chocolate, my favorite part of fall is going to the apple orchards and pumpkin patches. While it is a tad early for picking out the perfect pumpkin, it is definitely the perfect time to pick apples! The weather in Indiana has been sweltering, but finally a crisp wind brought a chill to the air. I figured what better way to spend my Sunday afternoon than to wander around the orchards.
For this excursion, I wanted to be comfortable and warm yet put together. This LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl's dress is my favorite go to for my lazy days. The stripes kept me in line with the #StyleMeSeptember style challenge as well! A thinly strapped dress wasn't going to keep me warm, so I added my favorite chunky sweater. And I could not forgot my trusty jacket. Keeping my legs bare meant I really needed some padding up top. For my feet I chose my favorite Oxfords - easy to walk in and the perfect fall accessory.
The orchard in question is the Pleasant View Orchard. If you are ever in Indy you should definitely check it out! Not only are the apples delicious and the pumpkins abundant, but they make the best apple cider and treats. Before heading home I had to nab a gallon of cider and my usual order of caramel apples! I can't wait to make my way back for the pumpkins!
